Once you’ve reached the second level of reiki you will start to learn about reiki symbols. These special reiki healing symbols are passed from master to master and are designed to attune others into reiki. These signs are used for both healing and protection.

These reiki healing symbols include:

Cho Ku Ray: This is known as a power symbol and Cho Ku Ray means ”God and man coming together” or ”I have the key”.

Sei Hei Ki: This reiki symbol is a mental or emotional symbol and it means ”The Key To The Universe”.

Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen: This is known as a distance symbol and it’s meaning is ”the God in me greets the God in you to promote enlightenment and peace”.

Tam A Ra Sha: This symbol is known for it’s balancing factor and it’s commonly used to unblock energies.

Dai Ki Myo: The Dai Ki Myo reiki sign is the most powerful of all the reiki healing symbols and only those that are reiki masters can use it. It it used to promote peace and enlightenment.
