Card 9 – Become an empty vessel for life force energy
THE VIBE: Receptivity

This exercise is a variation of breathing methods found throughout gentle martial arts such as tai chi, aikido, and qigong. It is the first step to clearing your body of toxic blocks and allowing Life Force Energy (a.k.a. Chi, Qi, Ki, or Prana) to flow smoothly and effortlessly throughout your body and energetic field. It will help you begin to learn to control the flow of Ki in your own body so that later you’ll be able to send it wherever it needs to go.

Card 10 – Become an empty reed through which life force flows
THE VIBE: Zen Flow

This is the second step to clearing your body of toxic blocks in order to allow Life Force Energy to flow smoothly and effortlessly throughout your body and energetic field. This exercise will help you begin to learn to control the flow of Ki in your own body so that you can direct it through specific channels.

Before we can find our tanden – our powerhouse – we need to cleanse ourselves to become a clear channel through which Life Force Energy (Ki) can flow. We do this by moving the energy with intention through our bodies. This flushes the dark energy ’particles’ out of our bodies through the channels we are strengthening with this exercise.
Note that in this exercise the energy flows from the cosmos to the body, and then back out to the cosmos – from the macrocosm to the microcosm, and back to the macrocosm.
