YOUTUBE DESCRIPTION:
This video was posted on the Spring Equinox (for the Northern Hemisphere) Mar 20 2023 @ 2:24pm
Ostara is the Spring Equinox (Shunbun), a time when light and dark are equal. Babies of all kinds are emerging on the planet, and there is a great explosion of life all around us. We are reminded that from darkness comes light. From death comes rebirth.
Ēostre is an Anglo-Saxon Goddess celebrated during the spring equinox, and it is from her that the Sabbat earns its name. She is a Goddess of the dawn, of new beginnings, and rebirth, and the rabbit is her sacred animal.
The Goddess Persephone is also celebrated during the spring equinox because her story tells us that she emerges from her time spent in the Underworld with her husband, Hades, on this day. Her story reminds us that we cannot have only light or dark in our lives – life requires both equally to thrive.

HONOUR & RECOGNITION DUE TO: “Circle Round: Raising Children in Goddess Traditions” by Starhawk, Diane Baker, Anne Hill; So many other teachers throughout the years.
